Advertising coup forces racists offline

On behalf of the Rolling Stone magazine, Serviceplan Italy has set up a mobile website that attracts racists with xenophobic videos and then quickly burns through all their monthly data. Most mobile phone contracts in Italy offer just four to eight gigabytes of mobile data. Afterwards, internet use has to wait until the next month or is slowed down. The videos on the website were artificially pumped up with data and used up to 40 times more data volume than normal. By watching the videos, racists were cut off from the internet for the rest of the month.
