Artificial intelligence monitors firefighters

NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the Department of Homeland Security are working on an AI-based system that collects information from the surroundings and transfers it in real time to firefighters. "AUDREY" is connected to the Internet of Things which makes it possible for the system to connect to wearable sensors and head-mounted displays. Data about temperatures, hazardous gases and even the GPS locations of all firefighters can be displayed in real time. "AUDREY" will therefore ensure much greater safety for dangerous work.
