Blockchain-based music streaming

The start-up Peertracks has launched a music streaming service which uses blockchain-based direct payments for artists to guarantee them 95% of revenues. Users can access the entire catalogue without advertising to support and discover new artists as well as to chat with other users. The service is based on a blockchain that was specially developed for the music industry by the MUSE peer-to-peer network. Payments for listening to music are automatically completed within seconds and split between the relevant rights holders.
