Blockchain-based verification

The start-up ShoCard from Palo Alto offers a blockchain-based user verification service. The service is integrated by banks, online retailers, airlines and website operators into their browser or smartphone applications. Institutes and users upload the relevant documents, such as credit ratings or passports, which can then be accessed by authorised third parties. Verification is completed using this data, which is encrypted in the system, or via biometric data, such as facial recognition.
