The medium-sized needle factory Groz-Beckert from Albstadt, Germany, has set up a health and education centre on its premises. The location is unattractive to workers due to the poor infrastructure and distances to city centres. This initiative aims to help staff with children and improve the quality of life of staff in general. The centre includes a private primary school, a nursery and childcare facilities. This makes it possible to combine family and work, and combat the decline in skilled labour.
