Samsung's subsidiary Starlabs is developing artificial humans whose AI-based character is teachable and barely distinguishable from human behaviour. The technology for this is based on “Core R3” software, which stands for reality, realtime and responsive. The first avatars were created using scanned models, but in future they will be fully computer-animated. For this purpose, they will also be fitted with individual characteristics that cannot be changed afterwards. According to the developers, the avatars could replace real people in future as financial advisors, yoga trainers and concierges.
