The American start-up Robomart is building a fleet of self-driving stores that consumers can order at the touch of a button. Retailers can use this service as part of a 24-month lease and have the vehicles deliver their products, including milk, poultry, and vegetables, to their customers. The interior of the vehicles are fitted with a refrigeration system and product labels on the shelves. Customers can order the nearest available Robomart via an app and purchase whatever goods they need from it. Robomart automatically detects what the customers have taken and invoices them via the app.
