Digital assistant advises customers in store

German trousers specialist Alberto has fitted its store in Mönchengladbach with Amazon Echo so that the personal assistant Alexa can offer customers information on certain products via voice recognition. The device will help staff and ensure that customer needs are understood better. The company has also had its own "Skill" set up to provide the device with relevant information. Now, customers can use Amazon Echo to get information on the stock, suppliers and company history. The questions asked are then evaluated and fed into a database.
