Temporary tattoo creates user interface

As part of the "DuoSkin" project, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has partnered with Microsoft Research to develop smart tattoos for controlling mobile devices as a communications medium or for displaying information. The tattoos are based on inexpensive leaf gold and silver, and they look like they could be an item of jewellery. Users can create all kinds of structures with them and then use the tattoos as skin circuitry. They comfortably adhere to the skin and can be connected to LED lights and NFC chips.
