Vegan burger containing plant blood

A start-up founded by the genetic engineer Patrick Brown and called Impossible Foods uses plant blood to replicate the taste of red meat in vegan food. This plant blood is a red liquid made of haemoglobin molecules which provide the taste in the food. The company is also working on plant-based replacements for other food, including cheese, eggs, milk and other types of meat. It's safe to say that these products, unlike animal-based products, will have no negative effects on health and the environment.
